The Tennessee Titans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ season opener was a battle between the 2015 NFL draft, number one and number two picks. Jameis Winston was the first overall pick for the Buccaneers and dubbed the clear-cut number one NFL-ready quarterback in the draft. Marcus Mariota was the second over all pick and though he was the Heisman trophy winner, was said to have a tough transition to the professional quarterback position.

On Sunday afternoon in Tampa Bay, Mariota was the clear winner in this initial match-up between the number one and number two overall picks. Mariota had a quiet 209 yards on 13 of 16 passing with four touchdowns. The most impressive part of the four-touchdown performance, was that Mariota spread them among four different receivers.

The first of which was to wide receiver Kendall Wright

Winston went 16 for 33 with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss.

The Titans took the win in a resounding 42 to 14 win.
